I couldn't agree more -- I went to a UGCX in San Jose earlier this year, and met some fantastic people -- including Guy Kawasaki. It was a fantastic event.

Building relationships is so key, and networking is something I love to do! It's a continual process too, pre-networking before a conference, networking there, and maintaining the relationships afterward.

It's all about hustle. Like you said, you need to make a plan and strategy and then Go GET IT! You can't rely on others to come to you, whether it's networking on or offline, reach out to others and see how you might help.
