With the Internet becoming more and more involved in every aspect of life it is crucial for people to be able to access all kinds on information on the web.  The site is a great idea and allows users to immediately find out if its their end.  Before this you would have to ask someone else to try it only to find out hours later that it was your connection the whole time.
